The MHL2 parallel jaw gripper is designed for applications that require a wide range of travel for gripping many different sized work pieces; the updated MHL2 Series finger motion is synchronized by a rack-and-pinion mechanism. The double construction creates a compact gripper with a large holding force.
The lightweight long-stroke gripper for safe, precise gripping with wide clamping distances for applications such as stacking boxes, gripping panels and molded parts, or holding bags open.
1. High torque resistance due to guided gripper jaw;
2. Compact and sturdy design;
3. Ideal for gripping larger parts;
4. Double-acting piston actuator, higher clamping force;
5. Suitable for external and internal gripping.
6. Mounting: direct fastening via thread, with through-hole.

Q1: How do grippers work?
The gripper is connected to the compressed air supply system. As the compressed air is introduced into the cylinder, it powers the piston rod. The piston rod is connected to the gripping fingers. As the air pressure moves the piston up and down, the fingers open or close in a parallel or angular manner.
Q2: What is a pneumatic gripper used for?
Pneumatic grippers are used in many pneumatic systems, as a means of grasping or holding parts; grippers may move, insert, stack or orient the parts to achieve a desired step in a manufacturing process.
Q3: What are the types of grippers?
Gripper cylinder is divided into: parallel jaw grippers, swing air grippers, rotary air grippers, three-jaw grippers, four-finger grippers, bellows gripper, O-ring grippers, needle grippers, Multi-Finger and adaptive grippers.The MHZ2 series parallel air grippers are the most widely used.
Q4: What is the difference between angular grippers and parallel grippers?
Parallel Grippers have fingers that move in straight lines towards the center or outside of the part to close and grip or open and release the part respectively, angular grippers have that hinge or pivot on a point to move the tips outward to release parts or inward to grip parts.
Q5: What is gripper bore size?
High precision parallel style wide air grippers are available in a wide range of sizes and configurations with optional bores such as 10mm, 16mm, 20mm, 25mm, 32mm and 40mm.
Q6: How do I choose a gripper?
When selecting a gripper, considerations for any application should include appropriate finger length, grip force, stroke, actuation time, and accuracy. For detailed information you can contact us and we will provide technical and purchasing guidance.
